  • DAY 1

    Airport - Colombo

    Reception at the airport and transfer to Colombo (a one hour drive). Discover the city on your own using a Tuk-Tuk or a local bus. Overnight in Colombo.

  • DAY 2

    Colombo - Uda Walawe

    After breakfast, depart for Uda Walawe National Park, where herds of wild elephants roam free. The road will also pass through the city of Ratnapura, known for its mines of precious stones. In the early afternoon, jeep safari in the park. Dinner will be served at your overnight hotel in Uda Walawe.

  • DAY 3

    Uda Walawe - Nuwara Eliya

    Early morning start for Nuwara Eliya. En route, stop to visit the spectacular Buddha statues of Buduruwagala. Afterwards, step off the main road and discover the magnificent Rawana Falls, not far from Ella. You will arrive in Nuwara Eliya in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

  • DAY 4

    Nuwara Eliya - Kandy

    After breakfast, departure for a one hour long excursion through the tea plantations to Tree Hills. Return to Nuwara Eliya and then continue on to Kandy. On the way, pause to visit a local tea factory.  Dinner and overnight in Kandy.

  • DAY 5

    Kandy

    Breakfast followed by a tour in the Peradenya botanical gardens. In the afternoon, time for an excursion on the Kandy lake and a visit to the Temple of the Tooth, one of the most sacred Buddhist sites in Sri Lanka. Dinner and overnight in Kandy.

  • DAY 6

    Kandy - Matala - Naula - Sigiriya

    After breakfast, depart for Matale’s fragrant spice gardens and discover what gives Sri Lankan cuisine its extraordinary flavors. Continue along the road bordered by rice fields and small village houses in the Naula area. Dinner and overnight in Sigiriya

  • DAY 7

    Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa - Sigiriya

    In the morning, visit of the ancient capital Polonnaruwa with its famous Gal Vihara: the three large Buddhas carved into the rock face. Afternoon at leisure or if you wish, you can add an excursion to your program and visit the site of Medirigiriya. Dinner and overnight in Sigiriya

  • DAY 8

    Sigiriya - Trincomalee or Pasikudha

    After breakfast, set off in the direction of the Eastern coast. You will arrive in the late morning so as to take full advantage of the gorgeous beaches during the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in either Trincomalee or Pasikudah.

  • DAY 9

    Trincomalee or Pasikudha

    Have breakfast and then take the whole day to enjoy the delightful beaches. A vehicle and driver are always available for you to move between locations. Dinner and overnight stay in Trincomalee or Passikudah.

  • DAY 10

    Trincomalee or Pasikudha - Minneriya - Sigiriya

    Today, depart once more for Sigiriya! On the way, enjoy a jeep safari in Minneriya National Park, renowned worldwide for its amazing herds of elephants.  Have dinner and spend the night in Sigiriya.

  • DAY 11

    Sigiriya - Habarana - Sigiriya

    In the morning, climb the famous Sigiriya rock, and later, take an elephant ride in Habarana. The rest of afternoon is at your complete disposal (there is also the possibility of visiting Ritigala, the stunning location of a former Buddhist monastery). Dinner will be served at your overnight hotel in Sigiriya.

  • DAY 12

    Sigiriya - Hunumulla

    After breakfast, depart in the direction of the Colombo area. En route, visit the unique Elephant Orphanage of Pinnawela. Arrive in Hunumulla in the afternoon. You will be guests at the Ambarella Lodge, a luxury boutique hotel hidden away in a traditional 65 hectare coconut plantation. Take the day to explore the spice-scented surroundings, the virgin Sri Lankan forest and the wondrous combination of fruits, spices and verdant vegetation. Dinner will be served at the plantation, where you will stay the night.

  • DAY 13

    Hunumulla - Airport or seaside destination

    After breakfast, transfer to Colombo airport or to your seaside hotel.
