  • DAY 1

    Airport - Mirissa

    Pick-up at the airport and transfer for accommodation located at the edge of the pristine coastline. The drive is approximately 3 hours (During peak hours). During day time, you will see a glimpse of what Sri Lanka has to offer on your way. Mirissa is the quintessence of the south coast in the Island. The calm seas between December and April is an idyllic opportunity to experience Blue and Sperm whales in close proximity (during DEC-APR). An ideal background for Whale and Dolphin aficionados, this is located within the international whaling commissions protected zone in the Indian Ocean.

  • DAY 3

    Mirissa - Galle

    A 30 minutes drive to Galle will take you back to the time of the Portuguese! The legendary Galle Fort was constructed by the Portuguese in 1620 and fortified by the Dutch in 1667. The Galle Fort is an exceptional historical charm sheltered by dark, thick stone ramparts with the ocean surrounded on one side. The boulevards within the Fort have hardly changed, like the squares on a chess board crisscrossing in regular patches. Labyrinths forking out, inviting the visitor to an enchanting walk to the past. Prehistoric monuments within this precinct built-in are the first Dutch Reformed and Anglican Churches, a School, the Lighthouse, the clock tower, a Mosque, a Temple, and the Commander-in-chief’s Residence.

    You will be mesmerized by one of the world’s most beautiful sunsets while you are the top of the Fort. You can also revel in a scrumptious meal at one of many cozy restaurants. If you’re fortunate, you could experience the famous Cliff Jumpers taking a dive at sixty five feet high into the deep-sea and anticipating a happy stipend from the snapper. This is an euphoria that must not be missed!

    Galle - Balapitiya - Kosgoda

    An hour’s drive to Balapitiya will ensure you enjoy a boat ride down the beautiful Madu River. The Madu River locate is a world heritage site and surrounded by a pristine mangrove forestry. The wetland estuary spreads over 900 hectares of which 770 hectares is exposed with water and inhabited with 64 islands. The boat ride is a delightful journey taking a closer look at the ecosystem.

    Proceed to Kosgoda turtle Hatchery, to explore various varieties of Sea Turtles and possibly release a baby turtle to the Ocean. The Turtle hatchery program care for sea turtle eggs and increase hatching rates while treating disabled and the weak turtles. Special care and protection is watched over all night when the mother sea turtles swim ashore to lay eggs and swim back to the ocean. Followed by the nesting process, the eggs are placed in the hatchery. Upon hatching, the baby turtles are released back to their natural habitat. You can be a part of a lifetime experience to save these endangered creatures.

    Thereafter, a two hour drive will take you to the commercial capital- Colombo.

    Colombo - Hunumulla

    Sightseeing in Colombo is enhanced by many religious monasteries, which manifest the coexistence of the city’s diverse populace. You may also experience the National Museum and discover the ancient, colonial and modern influences, which make up the city. A mile-stretched pathway of Galle Face Green, the élite Cinnamon Gardens, the Independence Square, the vibrant bazaars, and the pristine view along the marine drive can be explored during this short stay in Colombo. While on tour, you may delight in the cordiality with a Sri Lankan household and learn to cook a traditional Rice & Curry joined by their family members for lunch.

    Drive to Hunumulla for lodging located in the heart of a coconut estate, 25 minutes from the airport. Enjoy the pool, the garden and the special atmosphere created by the majestic coconut trees.

    Hunumulla is located in the outskirts of Negombo, a typical fishing town within close proximity to the Airport surrounded by swanky plantations of coconut palms whilst inhaling the soul of the sea. Its economy is largely based on tourism and its centuries-old fishing trade. Negombo is also known for its delectable seafood on galore.
